Why choose organic

The simple answer is, because sustainable garments are better for you and the entire planet. Our SupCare Conscious collections are made of organic and recycled materials.

All our cotton underwear carries the prestigious certificate GOTS.

But what makes it so much better?

Organic cotton farms reduce pollution, conserve water, increase soil fertility, and use less energy. Farming without synthetic pesticides is also better for birds, animals as well as people who live close to the area. Organic cotton is made from natural seeds, uses less water than regular cotton and there is no use of pesticides or other harmful chemicals. As a result, SupCare Conscious cotton products are safer for the skin and contributes to a cleaner planet. For the people who produce organic garments, sustainable fashion also means better working conditions and fairer pay.

Your personal benefits

Because organic clothing is not grown with the use of chemical pesticides and fertilisers, it’s better for you, as the consumer. Your skin is the largest organ on your body, and it absorbs what it’s exposed to. If you are aware of the health benefits of organic foods, you might not want chemicals to be rubbed into your body through your skin.

Organic materials are often hypoallergenic due to the chemical-free production, so they’re good to your body, especially if you’re someone with sensitive skin.

The GOTS certificate is your assurance

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certificate is your assurance that all this will be observed. GOTS is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. The aim of the standard is to define world-wide recognized requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labelling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.
